Mosquito Control Public Education
Imagimedia developed this interactive public education for Texas A&M Agri-Life Extension Service to help educate the public on ways of controlling mosquitoes. Because Texas A&M is a public institution, we were required to design and code the website to meet all requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act, WCAG2_AA standards.
We began with a concept presented to us from our client and took it the rest of the way from design to user experience and interface (UX/UI) to finished production. We collaborated with our Subject Matter Experts to develop the information architecture and messaging, which was delivered completely via short audio-visual modules.
This projects features the Backyard Mosquito Safari, which allows users to search through a backyard, alley and nearby public spaces for mosquitoes’ breeding and resting habitat and then learn how to mitigate the problem. This presentation is being shared with the public via kiosk and Internet.
